又称河蟹、毛蟹、清水蟹、大闸蟹。软甲纲，十足目，弓蟹科，绒螯蟹属。分布在亚洲北部、朝鲜西部、中国东部沿海湖泊河流。其螯足用于取食和抗敌，掌部内外缘密生绒毛，绒螯蟹因此而得名。杂食性动物，鱼、虾、螺、蚌、蠕虫、蚯蚓、昆虫及其幼虫等均可作为大闸蟹的动物性饵料。中华绒螯蟹是一种可食用的经济蟹类。

This species belongs to the family of Varunidae,also named hairy crab,river crab. It is a kind of economic edible crab.Distributed in northern Asia, the western part of Korea, Chinese eastern coastal rivers and lakes.Its cheliped are used to find food and resist the enemy,there are dense hair at the edge of palm inside and outside, so mitten crabs hence the name.It’s an omnivorous animals,and mainly lives on fish, shrimp, snails, mussels, worms, earthworms, insects even their larvae.
