俗名目鱼、鳎米、舌头、牛舌等。鲽形目，鳎亚目，舌鳎科，舌鳎属。分布于北太平洋西部,渤海, 黄海, 东海到粤东沿岸，在我国各近海渔场均可捕获，海洋岛、石岛渔场为主要产地。
